To the Delegates of the International Maritime Organization Diplomatic Conference:

The Filipino Shipowners Association (FSA) will hold its 60th Anniversary Celebration to coincide with the Diplomatic Conference to Amend the STCW Convention and STCW Code of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) which will be held in Manila on June 21-25, 2010.

We recognize that this will be the first time in the history of the IMO that the Diplomatic Conference will be held in Southeast Asia. It is truly an honor for the Philippines to have been selected as the venue for this prestigious conference. We hope that this is an indication of our nation’s emerging participation in international maritime affairs.

To celebrate our 60th Anniversary and to mark this milestone for our country, the FSA will host a Gala Dinner Reception on June 23, 2010 at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza Hotel, for our friends and partners in the industry and in honor of the Delegates to the Diplomatic Conference. Adm. Efthimios Mitropoulos has accepted the invitation to be our Guest of Honor.
