2010 STCW 2010 Diplomatic Conference Information Desk

An Information Desk will be set up at the lobby of the PICC to provide general meeting and logistics information to assist delegates during the Conference. It shall be open from 20-26 June 2010 from 07:30 t0 18:00 hours.

Common Delegation Room

A Common Delegation Room will be available at the (name of function room at PICC) from 07:30 to 20:00hrs from 20-25 June 2010 and will be equipped with the following shared facilities:

  • Laptops (with broadband Internet access);

  • Internet connections for laptops; and

  • Printers and photocopiers.

    • Medical Room

  • A medical post, supported by ambulance services and staffed by accredited teams of doctors and nurses, will be available at the PICC from Sunday, 20 June 2010 to Saturday, 26 June 2010. The medical post will open one hour before till one hour after meetings have ended.

  • The medical post will provide immediate health care and basic first aid treatment. Should a delegate require referral to a doctor or a hospital, the expenses incurred will be borne by the delegate.d

  • In addition, all designated hotels have arrangements for medical and emergency assistance when required by delegates. Delegates are advised to contact the hotel front office staff for medical assistance. Should a delegate require referral to a doctor or hospital, the expenses incurred will be borne by the delegate.

  • Medical services will also be provided for official events held outside the PICC.

  • Delegates who have medical conditions are requested to submit the details to the Philippine Organizing Secretariat.

    • Security

    As part of the security overlay to the Conference venue, delegates may be subject to various levels of screening and access control.

    Distribution of Meeting Documents and General Correspondences

    Any promotional materials to be circulated during the conference should be cleared with IMO.

    Dress Code

    The dress code for the Conference is business attire while during social events- smart casual.

    Transportation

  • Complimentary shuttle services for delegates will operate at regular intervals between the meeting venue and the designated hotels at regular intervals from 07:30 hrs to 19:00 hrs from 20 June 2010 to 26 June 2010. The departure frequency will increase to meet peak demands, prior to and directly after programmed meetings and lunch breaks.

  • Information regarding shuttle service timetable will be made available at the 2010 STCW Diplomatic Conference Information Desk or through the Concierge desk of each designated hotel.
